Talula's Daily Secret Supper Club

Several of the top-ten meals of my life have been at Talula's Daily Secret Supper Club on historic Washington Square.

Estia

Estia

Estia is a magnificent Greek restaurant that, in addition to wonderful Greek staples, prepares the best fish in Philly.

I lived in Philadelphia in the early 1990's, then moved to Michigan, then San Diego. I moved back to Philadelphia in the late 1990's amid a renaissance in the city restaurant scene, which was being transformed by creative and inventive chefs who were creating culinary dynasties that were receiving international attention. I got a front-row seat to this renaissance through my sister Teresa, who for a while was the Restaurant Critic and Food Editor for Philadelphia magazine. As I sometimes got to accompany her and her husband on restaurant review dinners, I wept bitter tears when she quit that job. I sometimes refer to her as my "ex-sister"...

These are just my top three Philly restaurant faves...see all of my faves in the top menu.
